Day 8 Winner's Choice! and some Holiday Updates!

SO yesterday, today, and tomorrow are all winner's choice from Jessica and I! and there are TWO chances to win! Just enter the raffle copters below!

and right in time, you can snag this HUGE UPDATE for HALF PRICE tonight! or enter to win it! I took forever to update this because I kept thinking about what I needed to practice or review, and thinking of new games! And some of those I decided to leave out will be right in you TpT inbox as freebies!

It still includes 10 centers, but they are more challenging, more appropriate for 2-3 grade (I first made these when I moved to 2nd grade, so I know a little more now!), and much more pretty!

Now go and enter! Saturday is the BIG Day!

Show Us What You Bought! Linky! and something BIG!

Don't you LOVE Michelle's button!! I had to go font buying too! opps!

So I may have spent a tad too much over the past week on bags, shoes, coats sweaters, tops, jeans, coats again...like real bad...
So I actually held off on the cyber sale until today when I kinda panicked that I'd miss something...I'm sure Erica can identify...

In all honesty, I held back! I moved a ton few sets to my wishlist. I mean, how many different Santa's do I need? A LOT OKAY! And I'll tell you this...these clipart clubs are killing me!!! First Krista, now Mel! And I'm sure it'll get worse! I literally have every.single.club Krista does. And that's a lot of weekly clipart!

My youngin's are strug-gle-in with place value! They can add and all that jazz, but boy it must be by luck! And the great ability divide is like The Grand Canyon this year, so I'm hoping this little Place Value Detectives will interest all my levels and help me out while we're at it!
I also need these sillies to keep up their skills over break! I think The Winter Break Challenge is just the thing! I'm hoping anyway!
And while they struggle with place value, this girl struggles with fitting in writing! I love Jamie's perfect paragraphs! I used one "lesson" for Halloween and it was a hit!
and you can't go wrong with some good reads and new math stations!

Oh, and be sure to check the blog tomorrow!!!
and go link up and show off what YOU bought at BlogHoppin'!

five for friday {september 27}

iiiiiittttt's Friday! and I need to be posting more, but boy do I forget how hard it is in the beginning of the year! So I'm linking up with Kacey again for five for friday!

It's been an up and down week to say the least.
but I'm still loving this class so it's all good!

today we made our first snazzy snack. My teammie found this recipe for granola apple moons online. It may be the best snack we've made in 4 years! So good! You cannot go wrong with apples, PB, and chocolate-even if it has granola on it! and our rule is to make the snack, you write the recipe. We make a recipe book for the end of the year to send home full of snacks they can make on their own during summer break. You can get my recipe book here.

My package from Old Navy came in the mail...do you see a trend!

This was Tuesday night's dinner...cake and beer...true story. Tuesday was bad...not with the kiddos, but just not good...

Our entire district's server went down over the weekend. Now they may not be a big deal to some, but that means no access to your files. No downloading from TpT because the virus scan is on the server, too. ugh.
But to Plan B, we needed some extra measurement practice {we only intro how to find "partners" in line segments right now} so I had them measure books in a book order. I typed up a quick recording sheet during read to self, printed, and away we went! Unfortunately, I couldn't save it but I will post it free soon.

I love seeing my work in others' rooms...especially when they are like teacher all-stars! Jen asked a few weeks ago if she could use my genre posters in a new file. Um...yes! Here's a sneak peek!

Happy Friday!

best and most linky! High School style and the sale!

I'll admit, I loved high school! I had a blast...probably a little too much, but it all worked out!
I am linking up with awesomely amazing Christina today to share my Best and Most senior superlatives style!

So my teacher's pet are my Common Core displays! I love throwing these into my pocket chart and not having to think! Of course the 2nd grade ones are my pet, but I have 2-4th grade! And I have full size, pocket chart size, I can kid friendly statements, and statements taken directly from CCS. So there is something for everybody! You can see mine displayed in this tree pocket chart {from Oriental Trading} here! The ones I personally use are these...the half page size in kid-friendly language

Most likely to help my students succeed: that'd be my word sorts! These don't have word lists {we use words their way} but I explain what each type of sort is, have anchor charts, and center cards. This is a great file for those who are new to sorts and need a little more help implementing or even that veteran word sorter who likes things ready to go! {like me}

and best couple...that's my brand new comprehension bundle plus my favorite text features booklet! I have a weird obsession with text features...that's something you don't hear everyday! I love teaching them! Probably because I am obsessed with DK books and Kids Discover magazine! I have my own subscription! I love reading all over the place...pretty much like my ADD train of thought! And each file in this bundle is not only super helpful and chock full of lessons, anchor charts, and worksheets; I am also quite in love with the way they look! And that's important too!

So there you have it! My best and most! And each one of these, along with everything else in my shop is 20% off thru Monday! I tacked on an extra day to the end, but if you want the extra 10%, go shop now and use the checkout code BTS13!

#teachertalkingaboutthesaletuesday

nice hashtag huh!?

So, I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my little school family.
Today was still weird, as expected.
There has been such a flooding of support {and flooding for that matter-keep reading} from all over our district.
We have counselors, subs on hand, and community leaders coming in and hugging everyone!
But our chickies are doing wonderful!
We have seven!
and we had lots of poop on my beautiful pottery barn rug today while students "chick sit"

On another note, I just checked out over at TpT

I moved, removed, and added things from wishlist to cart
My wishlist is ginormous.
I wish for everything!
I'll share more about what I bought soon!

here's a few pictures from the past two days

#instgramobsession
lots of Insta.apps!

#DAM #rainraingoaway #amazing!
#thisismydrivehome
We've had about 4 days of rain. We have a dam we cross each day and rarely ever see it open. There were two gates fully open on our way home. Well, the levy's gonna break! And so it did! Here's a video on You Tube. It is absolutely amazing.

#beachday
Monday was beach day. It rained all.day. We had indoor beach day!

So don't forget to go upload those carts! My shop's on sale through tomorrow!

Last but definitely not least, I've teamed up with some fabulous friends for the sale as well!
Make sure to check out their stores (click on the images) and blogs:

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
(Thanks to The Wizard of Boz, KPM Doodles, Gingersnap Fonts, Kimberly Geswein Fonts, and Kevin and Amanda Fonts for the graphics and fonts! and Kayla for making the buttons!)

5 for friday on friday!

Until today, I had a pretty easy peasy week
jury duty Monday and Tuesday
Wednesday work...
Thursday am meeting at the district office with the pm off
then today my kids had the day off

so here's a little randomness from my week as I link up with Kacey again!

I'd have more to show, but Wednesday was the only day with the kiddos and that was plenty!
I left Hope's rabbit research for them to work on all week.
Wednesday we had a little fiction fun with Easter Bunny Day!

bunny baskets!

5. I may be the only person alive who does not like Peeps, but I love making these!
We use dessert cups,
whip cream,
and supposed to have an egg candy or two,
but I lost them!
My only rule is that the recipe must be written in order to make it.
Two kids got to watch us make them.
Yes, I am that mean.

4. What's inside the Easter bunny's workshop?

these turned out so great!
I wish I could put pictures of all of them!
I love when they think outside the box!
If you like, this activity is part of my Down the Bunny Hole pack {on sale this weekend!}

3. Saturday was middle Lamb's 8th birthday.
As you can see he's a Harry Potter fan and likes to garden. He probably has the strangest interests for a kid his age, but I love that about him! He's very random like his mom! Those cupcakes were amazing-my friend Petie made them!

2. #puxatawnyphilisaliar
welcome spring...

1. My Spring Break is finally here y'all!
I might've had pretty much the whole week off, but it's official now!
I plan to craft, work on finishing up 3 packs {they are killing me!}, and NOT eat any chocolate or fries. I have not had either since Monday. This is huge. But I can do it! At least til my b0day in late April! And to celebrate, I'm having a Spring Cleaning sale this weekend!

signage curtsey of the amazing Krista Wallden!
So clean out those carts and wishlists!!
