free watercolor desktop wallpaper

Hi y'all!
I'm sharing a little wallpaper I made awhile back today.

A few weeks ago I shared a wallpaper I made for myself.
I like to have my desktop organized
and when I use an organization wallpaper, I am more apt to move stuff around or trash it!

Of course, there's files on there now!

I had a few requests to share it so here ya go!
It is blank
I figured you may want to make your own headings!

and here's how to add your labels in powerpoint
and I'm sure in any other photo editing software you may have!

open the png file in powerpoint

double click to add text OR Insert > text box
watercolors from angiemakes

If you want the same look, you'll need to have the following two fonts...

and if you'd rather not pay for Catalina, here's a few other options
however, they are all sans serif fonts
"sans" meaning without, meaning they do not have little ticks on the ends!
Megan taught me you should have a sans serif paired with a serif font!

here's some quick links to the fonts above
1. Janda Stylish Script (free for personal use)
2. Catalina Anacapa slab ($10 for this specific one-or get it in this bundle!)
3. Amatic (free)
4. Mathlete (free)
5. Always here (free for personal use)

and speaking of that font bundle...
let me tell ya.
I. LOVE. FONTS.
and font bundles are killing me!
but it is such a deal and can you really have too many fonts?
This bundle is only $27!
the Catalina font family alone is almost $400!

say what?!

I also just picked up this bundle from the hungry jpeg

there always some fonts I have wishlisted over at creative market
and if I'm lucky, I'll snag them in a bundle!

My favorite font stops are:
Creative Market (my achilles heel these days!)
and the hungry jpeg is the newest one!

I hope you find something you love and enjoy the wallpaper!!

9-11 with wee ones a repost and a freebie

I am reposting what I did on September 11 of last year. I loved how the bulletin board turned out and hate I did not snap a picture! I will this year! I also put together a few other activities I will do. Download for free on TpT! I cannot wait to see how this activity turns out!

I am linking up with Erica to share 9/11 ideas!

My kiddos had never even heard about the tragedy and I teetered on not even getting in to it for fear they’d have nightmares, but it is a huge part of our national history and completely changed how our country operates. I am SOOOOO glad I did. I have not had a better day yet with these dears. I started by just asking for a show of hands who had ever heard the term “9-11” and when only 1 kid had, I read a news article aloud. It really led to a wonderful discussion. I told them exactly where I was, what I was doing, how there was nothing televised but NYC for at least a week, and how American flags flew everywhere and everyone had a flag magnet on their car. I felt so proud to be an American. Then, my friend across the hall brought her kids over, told them her story, and we all watched the Brain Pop video. {I love those things…}. We also checked out the interactive timeline and the time lapse video of the memorial going up. You must use this site, it is ah-maz-ing
Bookmark these for next year!

Next we made a mosaic of the Twin Towers and added the questions from What the Teacher Wants blog to it. It really turned out beautiful and created a wonderful atmosphere of teamwork in my room {really the first I’ve seen of it}. Like I said, I am so glad I shared this time with them…Red heart
