Iiiit's baaaack!
So excited for Five for Friday!
[fiveforfriday2%255B7%255D.jpg]

and if you look at all my randoms, there's even an awesome giveaway {rafflecopter free} at the end!

I won my first ever giveaway! And it's awesome! via Miss Nelson, I won a door sign from Wayward Whimsy! Oh, happy day! Now to choose one!?

I took this week off from the blog to really tackle some things around here. You know, all school related of course.

I finally broke out the Cameo! I bought it for Christmas in November! I really haven't had a place for it until we moved. So happy! I love that I can use any font on my computer!!! Last night I gave away any file from my store if someone could guess the three words...second person got it!!

I have a wasted white board in my room. Last year I tried just putting my bulletin board paper over it...put I love to staple, remove, staple, remove, and so on. So I saw on Jessica's Monday Made it {Third Grade Things} where she bought this piece of Perma board and covered it on fabric, then wa-la! A board I can staple into! My hubby even trimmed the excess off...since I can't reach that high!

these are my new best friend! get them in 12 packs at target for $9 right now. That's a lot cheaper than hobby lobby!

I got all my reading buddies {aka old webkins} a new home with a sweet label of course!? I also grabbed some reading rugs from IKEA. I almost got the $1 ones, but these are my color...and they were $4 each.

and now for the giveaway! Sweet Katie {Now a queen of the SECOND grade jungle} just posted her first Busy Teacher for 2nd Graders! I am beyond happy! I bought a few last year and while I could use some of the activities, I needed more! Well, she did it!
So to welcome her to the best grade eva, a little group of second grade teachers are giving away a Back to School Busy Teacher! Each of us! So you have multiple chances to enter!
All you have to do for me is leave a comment telling me the first concept you teach in math  {you know after all the howdys and how do you do's!}, and make sure you follow my blog and Katie's! That's it! I will pick a random number on Sunday! good luck!

and you can enter on these blogs too!

  1. Usually the first concept I teach or review is adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers. If they seem firm, I go into regrouping:)

  23. The first thing I teach in math is number sense concepts- ways to show numbers, place value, odd & even, comparing numbers... I think it makes the rest of the year go more smoothly if they have these concepts down.
