five for friday-Only 5 more to go!!

It's Friday again!
Only 5 more Fridays for me!

This week was tad hectic.
Middle Lamb had his first ballgame
and allergies struck!
I sneezed the whole game
and haven't stopped since!
sniff, snot, blow, repeat

But Five for Friday makes me happy! so here goes

I love science! It's all we did today in fact! Here's a sweetie too scared to touch her mealworm yesterday-but guess who held it today! With our surprise insect invasion yesterday, we had a few weather things to wrap up! We made cotton ball clouds using Cupcake's printable and my amazing cotton ball stretching abilities!
I hung them up on the bulletin board until we begin our egg hatching countdown next week!
I'm still loving the chevron wrapping paper from TJ Maxx!

It has been 80+ degrees every day this week until today
recess had been somewhat extended!
and that means my sad, white, winter legs had to see the sunlight!

I love recess!

blueberry daiquiri from wild wok-way sweet!
speaking of 80+ degrees, we had NO AIR at school until Wednesday!
Do you all have this issue?
our air is controlled elsewhere
like by people who have air anytime the choose
and we have a certain date it can be turned on???
So I posted that picture on facebook with the caption, "No AC at school, No Problem!"
and we had air the next day!
I'm not saying it's because of me or anything...

this week was also our annual JDRF fundraiser
each day is a different theme and you give a $1 to participate
so for the past three days I've stolen shirts from my teenage son!
sports day-his baseball jersey from 5th grade!
his checked shirt just for the heck of it!
and for PJ day-his Vader is Coming tee
the kids LOVED that one!
I'm glad I have the figure of a 13 year old boy!

Happy Friday!

  1. Our heat and AC are also controlled by the powers above. For a while, we couldn't go any lower than 80 with the AC...that is almost like not using it! Some days they wouldn't heat our hallways, so every time we opened the door (hello, about every ten minutes!) we lost all our heat.

The best part? The office staff works in a room with HEATED FLOORS and no sweaty second graders. So, yeah, they probably know what is best for the rest of us!

  3. Our AC is controlled at on site, but it is an old building and will randomly stop working 1-2 days a year. It doesn't sound like much, but in South Florida that is a BIG deal!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. That little girl's expression is SO funny! I cannot believe some people already are down to 5 weeks left. We have nine, which is crazy enough!
