five for friday

It's Friday!

1. I had the day off, but for some really crazy reason I had agreed to meet my in-laws for breakfast at 7 SEVEN seven AM. That's earlier than my school days! They take two of our littles to school each day and have breakfast at a local diner every morning  My kids are like superstar mascots for the place and I finally got to join them! My littlest Lamb gets up every morning when "Miss Grace" comes in with her walker. After she sits, he grabs it, says good morning, and parks it up front out of her way. So sweet!

2. My classroom smells like teen spirit, if teen spirit smelled like poo. I do not know the source {ie. which kid it is} but every day this week it has stunk. gag. At least I have the most delightful scent of glade...wish I could tell you what it was, but it's old!

3. I baked! I do not enjoy cooking like most, but I knew I wanted to try to make those thing 1 and thing 2 cupcakes. We found the cotton candy, strawberry cake mix, and vanilla icing at Dollar Tree. I happened upon the little seuss-y cupcake baking cups at TJ Maxx! $2.99 for 25, I bought both packs!
We also made TWO snazzy snacks! The cat in the hat and green eggs and ham. We get most ideas from Pinterest, Disney Family site, and Family Fun recipes

I am loving my new Seuss tee from target! It's over in the mens if you are looking. I bought this one and a grinch one in December. And if you can tell, I sported my Seuss Striped socks with my boots, too!

4. My mother in law sends a text that says Did you guys go to a baseball game? and this picture is attached. I just figured she'd found an old newspaper. NOPE! That's us on the cover of the phonebook. Way to go yellowbook. Couldn't have snapped that when I was sitting!?

 5. A parent sent in a cow skull one of my students found over the weekend. It had it's molars and she knew we'd been studying teeth. It was pretty cool. At first I wouldn't touch it, but I got over it. SOme of the teeth were loose, too. SHe scrubbed and bleached the skull, send it gloves for everyone, and printed off diagrams and info about cow teeth. This mom rocks! They also found out cows are a major factor to the ozone because of the digestive gases they emit...hmmm, sounds like an earth day project to me! haha!
