I feel like a manger of children with no management sometimes!
But one thing has come to the rescue
Pandora!
We had a string quartet visit a few weeks back
they are an awesome group of musicians
they come each year so we are like that, you know
well, the kids were interested in how they could play rock music with those instruments
so my teammie found an awesome quartet on Pandora called Vitamin String Quartet
because if you know anything about pandora, you know you search by artist or song, then makes a station of similar stuff {at least the free version we use!}
and the first song I hear-Nirvana! and AC/DC, Adele, Marilyn Manson, it's got it all! and all instrumental so no worries about language!
It was nirvana y'all!
So I play it throughout guided reading
and i'll let you in on a little secret
I've been turning on Cartoon Network during AM time...shhh
I hope to blog a little on our Just Dance brain breaks soon!
They are saving my sanity!
i'll leave you with my computer desktop that shows on the screen all day...
the image is from the teacher wife (free on TpT) I just made a screenshot, cropped, put in it powerpoint, and change the days each afternoon! Then save it all as a picture to use as my desktop-sounds more complicated than it is! I swear! |
Love me some Vitamin Strong Quartet! We used their music for our wedding while guests were finding their seats for the ceremony. We've been surviving on Pandora too!

Thanks for sharing the music tip. I like to use music with my kiddos and I feel like Iike i've been in a rut lately with my choices. I will have to check Pandora out real soon!

I LOVE the String Quartet! I walked down the aisle to their rendition of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" - so beautiful. I've just started putting on The Piano Guys in our room and the kids are responding really well to music while writing!

I love Pandora! Used to play it all the time in the class with soothing piano music, but then our district blocked it :( Now I use AOL Radio and its not nearly as good.
