Five for Friday!

Well I am actually going to have this posted on an actual Friday.
My life has turned into a perpetual state of lateness over the past few months!
I'm getting later and later everywhere I go.
But here's my random five for Friday!
Our sweet babies arrived a tad early and the timing couldn't have been better. Above is what we found when we came into the classroom Monday morning. We ended up with seven Americana chicks. I love them because they are striped like chipmunks! The bln de one was Luke Skywalker but ended up being a Lucy! The brown one is Stormy Boba Fett!

Adorable shot of middle lamb with a funny story. I took the whole fam to see the chicks Monday evening about 7pm. No one at school so it was safe to have the little one set loose! We cuddled, got to see another chick hatch, and even got mr lamb to snuggle up to some chicks!
I stopped by the restroom on the way out. Headed out to the car and realized I'd left my keys inside! I freakin panicked! I called teacher after teacher. No answers. I mean, I thought teachers all day around at school or home all.yhe.time! Apparently not! After a few more you tries I finally got in touch with my old teammie who lives like a nano second from school. She saved us! This picture is middle lamb about to die of boredom!

2. We launched our abc-ya countdown a tad earlier this year out of sheer insanity! We needed it as much if the kids. If you followed me last year you may remember we do a new theme each day.

Monday-beach day. Beach boys on pandora, reading on towels, sandy snacks, and some reading and math here and there!

3. Tuesday-Hatch Day. Chicks galore, chicks and salsa, announcements, egg diagrams, and of course a Magic School Bus video!

4. Wednesday-Art day. Artist research and masterpiece making

5. Thursday-ice cream. Sundaes, surveys, and fractions! {courtesy of Hope's living huge ice cream dream, Amy's fraction sundaes, and Amanda from Teachers Clubhouse's ice cream day!}

Friday-bug day. Special guest visitor from 4-H {who also took the chicks back-insert sad face}, BEE movie, and a Mother's Day magazine from Teachers Clubhouse because I may have forgotten until today!
Alas. No pictures today!
So go link up with Doodle Bugs to share your random week!

  2. I wish we could just get in and out of our school! There are so many times I think, if I could just get that real quick, or, I could totally clean the classroom today! Then again, on that last note, it's probably better that I can't. :-P Have a super weekend! :)

  7. The chicks are too cute! We have chrysalises right now and are waiting for them to become butterflies. It's a big deal to the kiddos! My end of year part day is bug day - so much fun!
