y’all know that Nikki at Melonheadz is ah.ma.zing! I asked her for some hand signals that I use in my class and a day later-there they were in my inbox. She rocks. and is talented, too!
these turned out perfect!!! I plan on posting this week about my management because I think I am finally at a place where I am happy with it! If you’ve been hanging around awhile, you know I use Whole Brain Teaching. These signals correlate with our rules and are easy to remember. Especially if they get up to ask me something and I send them back to their seat until they can signal me…is it just my kids that can hunt me down anywhere to tell me nonsense…please say your littles do that, too!
sock monkeys-speaking of Whole Brain teaching, I finally remade their rules posters, practice cards, and Big Seven posters for my own classroom.
this is our drew-bie’s sock monkey that he’s never without!
I will be posting tomorrow about management and how I use these little goodies. But right now the movies with my boys is calling!
I love this. I'm putting this on my wishlist right now. What a great way when you're teaching and you ask a question and you think they are going to answer your question. Instead they ask if they can use the bathroom. This would help out big time.
ReplyDeleteIt really does help! I know not to call On kids too!
DeleteHow adorable...I loved my sock monkey. It had bells on its chest.
